Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, amir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and known as the Charmonai Pir, said that the state leaders of the past 53 years became extremely wealthy through corruption. He alleged that they laundered the country’s money abroad and turned Bangladesh into a bottomless basket.
He made the remarks as chief guest at an event held on Saturday morning at the Diploma Engineers Institution auditorium in the capital. The central council of the National Teachers Forum 2025 was held there, according to a press release issued by Islami Andolan Bangladesh.
