Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, amir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and known as the Charmonai Pir, said that those who ruled the country for the past 53 years cannot offer any new hope. He said the ruling class must now be changed and Islam must be brought to power.
He made the remarks as chief guest at a conference held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Friday. The 5th National Youth Convention of Islami Jubo Andolan was held there.
Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim said that work must be done to implement Islamic principles and ideals in the next election. For this, youths should be encouraged to join the cause of Islam, with at least four people invited every month. He said falsehood must be defeated and that people of this country do not want politics that leaves mothers bereaved or launders money abroad to build Begum Para.
