Second infected patient returns home, post COVID-19 recovery in Nepal

Second Nepali goes home post COVID-19 recovery

As per report by The Himalayan Times, second person infected with COVID-19 in the SAARC nation of Nepal has returned home after full recovery, on Saturday, 18th April 2020.

The 19-year-old female had returned to Nepal from France via Qatar on March 17. Prior to being tested positive, she had placed herself under home quarantine upon arriving in Nepal. Her samples were collected for testing on March 22, for which the reports came out positive.

She was hospitalized for 27 days at Teku-based Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital on March 23.

As of 20th April 2020, two people have recovered from COVID-19 in Nepal.
